With the conclusion of the NFL’s AFC and NFC championship games which took place over the weekend, the Super Bowl is officially set between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

A handful of Oklahoma products will be represented in the big game on Feb. 11. Seven different players from both teams played their high school or college ball in the Sooner state, with the University of Oklahoma even leading all colleges with the most players on each Super Bowl roster at six.

49ers star tight end George Kittle once caught passes at Norman High School before spending four seasons at the University of Iowa from 2012-2016. He’s been one of the league's premier tight ends since being drafted by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft and will be playing in his second Super Bowl. He is a five-time Pro Bowler and has earned two first-team All-Pro honors in 2019 and 2023.

Kittle is the only Oklahoma representative to have not spent his college years with the Oklahoma Sooners. All six remaining players on this list graduated from OU, giving the Sooners more players in this year’s Super Bowl than any school in the country.

San Francisco offensive tackle Trent Williams comes in as one of the most decorated players on this list. The 11-time Pro Bowler was drafted by Washington in the 2010 NFL draft, where he played eight seasons from 2010 to 2018 before joining the 49ers. He played in the team’s last Super Bowl appearance in 2019.

Another Sooner offensive lineman will compete on the opposite sideline to Williams. Chiefs’ starting center Creed Humphrey hails from Shawnee High School in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where he was an U.S. Army All-American as a senior in 2017. He played for the Sooners in college, earning Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year in both 2019 and 2020. He’s been with Kansas City since being drafted in 2021, winning one Super Bowl with the team in 2022.

Kansas City tight end Blake Bell and long snapper James Winchester have been mainstays with the organization for years. Both played at Oklahoma and have won multiple Super Bowls since joining the Chiefs.

Finally, Chiefs offensive lineman Wanya Morris and 49ers tight end Brayden Willis are two rookies playing in their first Super Bowl after having played their college ball with the Sooners.

This year’s Super Bowl takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, Feb. 11 starting at 5:30 P.M. central time.
