Wednesday was National Signing Day for the spring semester and athletes from Edmond-area high schools signed their letters of intent to their next school.

Starting with Oklahoma Christian School basketball’s Luke Gray, who signed with Oral Roberts University in front of a packed crowd inside the OCS gym. Gray was joined by his adopted parents as well as his head coach, Brandon Weaver.

The school’s all-time leader in points (2,019) and rebounds (1,039), Gray emerged as one of the top hoopers in the state of Oklahoma regardless of class. He was named a 2024 All-State selection by the Oklahoma Coaches Association as well as the 2024 Greater Metro Conference MVP, all while helping lead the Saints to a Class 3A state championship.

He averaged 21.8 points and 11.4 rebounds per game as a senior.

Gray joins ORU under second-year head coach Russell Springmann, who led the program to a 12-19 record in 2023-24. The Golden Eagles have made the NCAA Tournament in two of the last four seasons as members of the Summit League conference.
