The 2024 All-State Boys’ Basketball teams were released Thursday and a couple of local athletes earned their spots on the prestigious list.

Each year, the Oklahoma Coaches Association compiles its picks for big and small school All-State rosters for the East and West regions of the state. Four local hoopers were included amongst the best high school players in Oklahoma after a year of high-level basketball in the city of Edmond.

Edmond North’s Dylan Warlick and Chiante’ Tramble were named to the Large West All-State team after leading the Huskies to their third-straight 6A state title game as one of the top duos in the state.

Both seniors for the state runner-up Huskies, Warlick and Tramble cap off their high school careers as two-time state champions and 2024 All-COAC first-team selections. Warlick ended his final year with averages of 18.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, both team highs. Tramble put up 14.2 points per game this season while shooting 41% from three.

Warlick will be taking his talents to Laramie, Wyoming, next season to play for the University of Wyoming. Tramble plans to further his athletic career at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas.

Oklahoma Christian School saw two of their players earn spots on the Small West All-State team. Seniors Luke Gray and Carson Jones were selected among the 10 best hoopers out of all schools in the west region in Class 3A and under, following the Saints’ state championship season.

OCS head coach Brandon Weaver was also picked as one of the Small West All-State head coaches alongside Davis High’s Dakota Blackwell.

Gray earned All-State honors after emerging as one of the best and most difficult to stop players in the entire state this season. He averaged 21.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per game his senior year while also being awarded his second-consecutive Greater Metro Athletic Conference MVP.

Carson Jones served as OCS’ second option when it came to getting a bucket this season (oftentimes first when opponents would focus Gray). His 16.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and nearly two steals per game was enough to earn him a spot on the Small West team along with his teammate.

Gray and Jones will both move on to play college ball next winter. Gray committed to in-state Oral Roberts University earlier this week, while Jones signed with Kansas Wesleyan University back in November.
