George McCormick asked our Edmond area coaches, “As a coach, if the Easter bunny could bring you one egg with anything in it, what would you want?”

Edmond Memorial softball’s Kayla Carlsward expressed her desire to be able to coach her players year-round.

“Slow pitch softball in the Spring…to have my team year-round to build what I think is the most important factor in high school softball, team chemistry.”

Pete Papahronis of Edmond North girls’ basketball would like to continue receiving more of the great players that he has had the privilege of coaching over the years.

“I would ask the Easter bunny to keep bringing me players with great work ethic, great attitude, that are coachable and selfless. These are the players he has brought me in the past, so I want him to keep bringing them to me.”

Edmond Santa Fe softball’s Rhonda Lawson would look after the loved ones in her life with her one wish.

“If the Easter bunny brought me one egg, I would ask for good health and happiness for all my family and friends! And a fun-filled softball season that ends in much success!”

Rachel Crabaugh of Edmond Memorial basketball wishes the Easter bunny would get rid of injuries that derail an athlete’s season, especially at the high school level.

“If the Easter bunny wanted to be real cool, he would drop off a full season with no concussions, sprained ankles, or injuries. It always breaks my heart to witness athletes pour so much heart and effort into their sport and then be dealt an unfair card like that, especially in high school when you can’t red shirt or get that time back. “

Edmond North boys’ basketball’s Scott Norris gets nostalgic with his one wish.

“One egg with anything in it...have my kids little again and watch them hunt for Easter eggs.  Loved those days!”

Edmond Public Schools Head Swim Coach Heather Devoe has a brutally honest and relatable wish for her Easter egg.

“I would love for the Easter Bunny to bring me a million dollars! And an endless supply of chocolate.”

Edmond North baseball’s Matt Allen answered pointedly with “Simply more time!”
