Erick Harris wins HD39 election
The House District 39 election race was a close outcome with less than 300 votes separating the Republican and Democratic candidates.
Erick Harris (R) secured 2,507 votes or 50.37% while runner-up Regan Raff (D) received 2,246 votes and only 45.13% of the votes. Richard Prawdzienski ended with 224 votes total and 4.5% of the total 4,977 votes cast for the election.
Also on the ballot Tuesday, February 3, 2024 was two Edmond Public Schools Bonds. Both passed easily surpassing the 60% super majority required. Proposition One which covered a plethora of capital improvements and the addition of two schools passed with 7,986 (79.63%) of the 10,029 votes. Proposition Two which covered transportation improvements secured 8,019 (79.89%) of the 10,037 votes cast for the proposal.
Results have been reported from the Oklahoma Election Board website and are unofficial until verified. House District 39 results will be verified on Tuesday, February 20 unless there is a contest of election or a petition for recount.
