The Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) is thrilled to announce the upcoming installation of Paul Moore's majestic sculpture, ‘Valley of the Horse’, at the prominent corner of 2nd Street and Coltrane in Edmond, OK. This life-size sculpture symbolizes the property's history and spirit and will become a beloved landmark. Commissioned in 2021 by the EVAC with support from the City of Edmond and private donations, preparations are underway for the installation, with an unveiling expected by the end of the year. Restaurant pad sites that overlook a scenic pond are ongoing and will blend culinary pleasure with artistic ambiance. Additionally, the Edmond Fine Arts Institute, the City of Edmond, and other private donors are actively discussing the potential development of the north section of the property as a future public art park. This initiative reflects all parties' commitment to enriching Edmond's cultural landscape and creating spaces where art thrives and is accessible to all. The installation of ‘Valley of the Horse’ marks the beginning of a new journey, bringing beauty and inspiration to the heart of our city. Stay tuned for more updates on this transformative project!
