Edmond Police have four suspects in custody after a vehicle pursuit with shots fired early Tuesday morning.

EPD has yet to release the suspects’ identities, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police said officers were dispatched at 3:15 a.m. following a reported auto burglary. Officers located the suspects’ vehicle, a silver Kia Soul, at 2nd and Broadway and initiated pursuit.

The suspects led police down Boulevard to the Kilpatrick Turnpike, then north on Broadway.

The officers attempted two Tactical Vehicle Interventions, sometimes called PIT maneuvers. During the second attempt, police said one of the suspects rolled down his window and fired seven shots.

No officers or police vehicles were hit.

The suspects’ vehicle turned east on Burton Ave. before traveling south on Boulevard for a second time.

Near the Kilpatrick Turnpike, the suspects drove into a salt truck service area, a dead end. Police said the suspects bailed as the vehicle hit a fence. Oklahoma City Police and Oklahoma Highway Patrol assisted EPD in setting a perimeter, eventually leading to all four suspects being apprehended.

Charges are pending investigation.
