Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport Terminal Expansion

March 6, 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, which included among many Oklahoma-specific wins - $6 million to the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport for terminal expansion and other improvements.

Thank you to U.S. Representative Stephanie Bice (OK-5) for including allocations on behalf of the airport as well as to staff members crucial to the success of this request.

We are excited to move forward with the funding for a terminal that would double the size of our current terminal facility, built in 2001 out of an aircraft hangar. Current plans for the new terminal include a new passenger waiting area, a 24-hour accessible pilot’s lounge, FBO and airport management offices, and a large conference room that would serve as an aviation education classroom and meeting room for community events. Both cities are also working to relocate the parallel taxiway and expand the terminal apron.

The bill has yet to be considered by the United States Senate but is expected to be heard by the end of this week.
