Have a day off? Ready to get out of the house and do something new? Jump in the car for a short drive to one of Oklahoma City’s largest suburbs – Edmond. With Spring Break right around the corner, here are some favorites from Edmond locals:

Saturdays in March: Find local goods at Edmond’s Winter Farmers Market inside the Senior Center at Mitch Park (2733 Marilyn Williams Dr) from 9am-noon. Items for sale include seasonal produce, meat, baked goods, pasta, crafts, BBQ sauce, coffee, honey and other Made in Oklahoma (MIO) products. Order ahead online through the WhatsGood website and app.

March 11-18: The Lazy E Arena's Cinch Timed Event Championship and the Bob Feist Invitational are partnering for the first time for eight straight days of rodeo action. Watch cowboys compete in five rounds of heading, heeling, tie down, steer wrestling and steer roping. The winner takes home a prize of $100,000. Get your tickets to see history in the making for $25 to $50.

March 16-17: Sit inside an authentic wagon from the 1889 Land Run from 2:00-4:00pm on March 16th or March 17th. The wagon will be located outside at the historic Rodkey House at 410 S. Littler Ave. Make a day of it by visiting the Edmond Historical Society & Museum next door and Stephenson Park across the street.

April 1: There is a new VIBE in Edmond on the first Thursday of every month (April -October). Stroll through this FREE street festival as 35 downtown Edmond businesses along 15 blocks partner with 35 musicians, artists and performers from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
