New projects
Boulevard at Main Street: Work by Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) will result in periodic closures of the left lane on southbound Boulevard between Main Street and First Street.
On-going projects
Main and Littler closures: Construction work has begun at the City Center Complex site, which could mean periodic short-term closures of Main Street west of Littler Avenue from the intersection to half a block west of the four-way stop. Full closure of the section of Main is not scheduled before January 2024, and that section could be opened for special events when there is no construction traffic. The sidewalk on the east side of Boulevard, along the site of the future Municipal Court building, is closed from the south alleyway to Main Street. Work to upgrade that sidewalk section is not expected to impact street traffic. Littler, between First and Main Streets, remains closed and will remain closed through the construction processes. Several parking areas near the construction site are closed, including the Littler Lawn parking areas, the east parking lot behind the PPW building, and a portion of the City-owned parking lot on the northwest corner of Littler and Main. Work to complete the project and open all street and parking closures is expected to be completed by March 2025.
Boulevard lane closures: Boulevard southbound between 9th Street and 15th Street will continue to have intermittent lane closures as part of water line construction for the FY20 water line improvements project.
Main Street closure: Main Street is closed west of Broadway at the railroad tracks to N. Santa Fe Street while work is being completed on the Oxlley multi-family project, as well as streetscape and additional on-street parking on Main Street. With cooperative weather, the street will reopen in early December.
