Charges Declined in Edmond North Rape Investigation

The Oklahoma District Attorney’s Office has declined charges related to allegations of sexual assault involving Edmond North High School students, Edmond Police announced Tuesday.

Edmond PD released the following statement:

“After a thorough investigation into the allegations of sexual assault involving students of Edmond North High School, Edmond Police presented the charges of rape and sexual battery to the Oklahoma District Attorney’s office. Based on the investigation the charges were declined at this time, and the cases will be closed.

“The Edmond Police Department treats allegations of this nature with extreme sensitivity and importance. In order to enable victims to provide the clearest, most complete information about the crime, efforts are always made to ensure that all victims are treated professionally and with dignity. We encourage all victims of any crime to come forward without hesitation.”

The investigation centered around events allegedly occurring at Arcadia Lake this past summer, with additional incidents occurring after the involved parties had left the area to drive home for the night. There were additional allegations of domestic assault dating back to 2017.

EPD is not identifying the involved parties to protect the privacy of minors.
