They’re truly a daring duo.

Back in 2020, Rochelle and Juder Stidham started a digital newspaper after finding out the Edmond Sun had closed its doors. They recently started the print version and are investing their time, money and energy into a local weekly newspaper, a trusted news source for the community.

They care about the people of Edmond and have promised to deliver the news and stories of this community with pride and integrity, as has been the tradition for many years in the newspaper industry.

Rochelle Stidham, with a 40-year-plus career, has extensive experience, which includes successfully leading newspapers in Kentucky, Texas, Tennessee, Florida and Oklahoma, and serving those communities and advertisers. Her mission here is clear: delivering essential news and sharing stories that celebrate the City of Edmond.

Juder, her husband, brings diverse business expertise having owned and operated various businesses. Shaped by his father's emphasis on excellent customer service, Juder is a hands-on leader committed to serving customers regardless of the situation. The couple, married for 30 years, work in tandem to enhance The Edmond Way digital services, catering to the city’s growing business community.

Beyond a business investment, they both view The Edmond Way as a platform for giving back and building partnerships with local entities. Twenty miles north of Edmond, they have owned the Guthrie News Leader since November of 2019. Rochelle isn’t new to the area as she was the publisher of the Guthrie News Leader back in 2016 and 2017.

“When I heard the Guthrie News Leader was for sale, we immediately jumped at the chance of owning the paper,” she said. “When we heard the Edmond Sun closed their doors, we jumped at the chance of starting a paper in Edmond.”

Rochelle and Juder are excited about being part of the community. As a family-owned newspaper, they emphasize their commitment to serving readers and advertisers, and are thrilled to officially be in business in Edmond.
