The Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma’s Many Beliefs Serving Together Committee will host a community event at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9 am until 12 pm. Participants will complete a service project in small groups followed by refreshments and a facilitated conversation. Using the Amazing Faiths Interfaith Questions, attendees will have the chance to express something about their beliefs and listen to each other. The event has no charge, but registration is required by April 30th and can be completed at https://www.tiaok.org/many-beliefs-serving-together.

Community members of any faith, as well as agnostic and atheist individuals, are invited to participate in this opportunity to serve and learn more about each other. Strong relationships based in understanding are critical to building a healthy, pluralistic society. Generally participants from 5 or more faith traditions will attend.

The Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma works to ensure that faith and freedom flourish so that individuals can worship freely or not worship at all, so they can embrace matters of personal conscience without fear of government intrusion, and so that all can live in a vibrant, healthy society.

Since 2013, The Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma has been sponsoring 4-5 activities per year that intentionally bring together our rich, diverse, and service-minded communities of belief in the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The goal is to give everyone a chance to get to know people of other beliefs in a friendly and safe environment by letting them work side by side helping our area in real, tangible ways.
