Ronnie G Williams is not new to serving on editorial boards, as he was previously a member of the Edmond Sun editorial Board from 2005 to 2008. Ronnie has lived in Edmond since 1992 and in the Oklahoma City area since 1980. He has worked as a Landman for the past 40 years; beginning with J.B. Mattax, a trusted and ethical teacher, to running the Land Dept for Lobo Exploration Co and Angel Exploration, LLC for decades. Currently, Ronnie owns Williams Land & Gas, Inc. and is a member of the AAPL and the OCAPL.
Ronnie was born “North of the Red River” in White Deer, Texas where his family had a couple of small town, full service gas stations along with farming and ranching interests. In his youth, he played Varsity football and basketball, served as Area I vice-president in FFA and was involved in 7 school plays. He received a BBA (Marketing) from Texas Tech University in 1979 and his nickname is RedRaiderRon.
In addition to his editorial board service, Ronnie has served as a Trustee of the Edmond Economic Development Authority for over 9 years, as an Advisor and Past President of the Edmond Neighborhood alliance and is currently serving on Edmond’s Board of Adjustment and Board of Appeals. He’s also a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Parish and the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal organization.
Rebecca, his wonderful wife of 30 years, is the Mother of their 3 sons; 2 of which live in the Oklahoma City metro area and one in Long Beach, CA. With 6 siblings, the scores of nieces, nephews and their children are always a treat to visit, but their 2 Grandkids are the true gifts from God.
