Mark A. Nash is President of Pinnacle Partners West LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in process improvement and self-sustained operational excellence systems.  Mark has over 30 years of process improvement experience, both as an internal and external consultant/engineer, in manufacturing, distribution, government and healthcare.  This diversified background allows Mark to work outside the box looking for process solutions many people cannot visualize.

As an Oklahoma native, born and raised in Oklahoma City, Nash has dedicated much of his professional career to improving both private and public organizations in Oklahoma.  Nash graduated from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma with B.S. in Administration Management (corporate management) before starting his career developing a management training program for an Oklahoma based savings and loan.  He has served as a fiscal analyst for the Oklahoma State Senate and director of finance for the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.  Additionally, Nash has served as Operations Manager for Pelco Products, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer for an Oklahoma City manufacturing company, as well as managing director/CFO for an international process engineering firm.

In addition to the numerous guest opinion pieces written for The Edmond Sun, Mark has written magazine articles for Quality Magazine and IE Industrial Engineer magazine, and has been published in The Bulletin of the Royal College of Pathologists (United Kingdom).  Additionally, Nash has authored three business books on process improvement and coauthored a chapter of the Manufacturing Engineering Handbook.

However, Nash’s commitment to family and community are even more important than his professional career.  Mark married his wife Staci in 1988 and moved to Edmond the following year.  He has two daughters, both married.  His daughter Ally, married to an attorney, is the media center specialist at Cimarron Middle School, and his daughter Delaney and her husband and most importantly, Mark and Staci’s grandson Anderson, are currently living in Cambridge, England.

An avid photographer and fan of the great outdoors, Mark spends time in Colorado as often as possible pursuing his nature photography hobby.  He travels extensively for his consulting job, but also travels with his wife Staci visiting numerous places in the United States and abroad.

Nash previously served on the Edmond Sun editorial board from 2008 to 2020. He is an elder and trustee for First Christian Church of Edmond where he has been a member since 1999.  Additionally Mark is a founding member of Disciples4water, an outreach ministry sponsored by First Christian that is focused on solving the water problem in the Democratic Republic of Congo.   Mark served on the Trails South Homeowners Association board from 1990 until 2000, has served on the Highland Arbors HOA board since 1999, and has been a board member or advisor of the Edmond Neighborhood Alliance since 1994.  He also served on the Edmond Economic Development Authority board of trustees for 12 years, and currently is serving on the East Edmond 2050 Planning Advisory Committee.
