The Oklahoma Coaches Association released the 2024 All-State High School Swim teams and a handful of Edmond-area athletes were among the swimmers selected as the best in Oklahoma.

Thirty-six athletes were chosen for the East and West All-State rosters, with four groups separated into boys and girls teams. Ponca City head coach Heather Harris was named an All-State coach for the East region, while Kathy Keffer-Sharpe of Harding Charter Prep was picked as the West region’s All-State coach.

Three local schools picked up All-State honorees after each school’s boys’ and girls’ squads finished in the top 10 in the 2024 Class 6A State Swim meets. Edmond Memorial, Edmond North and Deer Creek all had at least one swimmer selected by the OCA.

No school more so than Edmond North, who comes in with four All-State picks to tie with Ponca City and Stillwater for most in the state. Seniors Jackson Evans and Collin Ho were selected for the West Boys’ team after helping lead the Huskies to a third-place finish at this year’s 6A State Swim meet.

Seniors Caroline Glover and Caleigh Stoddard were among the nine selected for the West Girls’ All-State team from Edmond North. The two were pivotal in the Huskies’ third-place finish at the state meet, captaining three silver medal-winning relay teams.

Edmond Memorial senior Drew Burgess made the West Boys’ team after an impressive senior season for the sixth-place Bulldogs.

Coach Heather Devoe, who acts as the head coach for all Edmond Public Schools’ swim teams, had five of her players earn All-State selections.

Rounding out the local selections are Deer Creek’s Cameron Sein and Kinley Manuel, who both led their respective Antlers’ squads to state top 10 finishes this season.
