The 2023-2024 Greater Metro Athletic Conference (GMAC) postseason basketball awards were announced Friday (March 29) and both Oklahoma Christian School’s boys and girls saw a handful of players earn All-Conference honors.

A pair of Saints’ boys were awarded two of the highest honors in the conference and three more made All-GMAC teams following one of the best seasons in program history.

Senior and recent Oral Roberts University-commit Luke Gray was named the conference’s Most Valuable Player following a record-breaking final season. Gray averaged 21.8 points and 11.4 rebounds per game while spearheading OCS’s 26-2, state championship-winning season.

Gray wins the MVP award in back-to-back seasons after taking it home last year as a junior, as well. He also became the school’s all-time leading scorer this season at 2,019 career points, surpassing Saints legends Blake Griffin, Taylor Griffin and Chianti Roberts.

Carson Jones was picked as the GMAC Boys Offensive Player of the Year after a stellar senior campaign. The 6-foot-3 forward and Kansas Wesleyan University-commit put up 16.5 points per game en route to OCS’s Class 3A championship run, acting as an essential piece in coach Brandon Weaver’s lineup.

Moving on to the all-conference teams, senior guard Kyler Brown finds his way onto the All-GMAC first team as OCS’s third-leading scorer at seven points per game.

All five starters on the Saints’ championship squad earned conference awards as seniors Ben Ramsdell and Junior Nsengiyumva both made the All-GMAC second team.

Rounding out the Saints’ honorees is senior Connor Owens and sophomore James Huffmyer, who come in as all-conference honorable mentions as key pieces off the bench for OCS.

For coach Ashley Dublin’s OCS girls team, junior Ava McIntyre headlines as GMAC Girls Offensive Player of the Year in a season that saw the forward eclipse the 1,000-career points mark while acting as the leading scorer for the 11-15 Saints.

Blair Rowlett and Ella Voskuhl each earned All-GMAC second-team honors, while Jackie Johnson and Rylee Roof were named honorable mentions.
