Reagan Smith, Inc., a project management consulting firm serving state, federal and Tribal projects, recently expanded its team by welcoming three GIS mapping specialists: Mya Moore, JD Love and Samuel Harris.

“Mya's seamless transition from intern to a full-time GIS mapping specialist exemplifies our commitment to fostering individual growth and expertise within our team,” Reagan Smith CEO Monica Smith Griffin said. “We encourage all employees to expand their capabilities and evolve with the company. The addition of JD Love and Samuel Harris further strengthens our team, bringing valuable skills to enhance our capacity for delivering innovative mapping solutions to our clients.”

Mya Moore holds a B.A. in Geography from the University of Central Oklahoma, where her research focused on mapping human contributions to climate and environmental disaster displacement across the Pacific islands.

Her work as a mapping specialist will involve utilizing geospatial data to address complex spatial challenges and deliver innovative solutions for clients.

JD Love joins the team as a GIS mapping specialist with a background in geographic information systems and data analysis. A 2022 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Love holds a B.A. in Geographic Information Science and Criminology.

In his new role, Love will be responsible for developing and maintaining geospatial data, creating custom mapping solutions and ensuring the accuracy of mapping services.

Samuel Harris discovered his passion for outdoor and forestry work during college while serving as an assistant arborist at Oklahoma State University, where he updated the tree inventory of more than 4,000 trees with species identification and measurements in two years. Harris graduated with a B.S. in Geospatial Information Sciences and has pursued a diverse range of languages, including French, Spanish, Latin, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian.

As a GIS mapping specialist, Harris will capture aerial photographs with drones for accurate geospatial data. He will also maintain the Land Scout website, a valuable resource that enhances the outdoor experience for hunters by providing essential property information.

“With their capabilities, we're better equipped to craft maps that not only capture landscapes but reveal critical insights for informed decision-making,” Reagan Smith Vice President of Land and Regulatory Compliance Jennifer Krieg said. “Their expertise and experience will reinforce our commitment to leading natural and cultural resource protection and development.”

“This expansion represents the continued growth of our company and our dedication to serving not only our clients, but the environment,” Reagan Smith Vice President of Environmental Compliance and Engineering Scott St. John said. “While we already have skilled team members who can use drones, Samuel's drone expertise enhances our team's capabilities, enabling us to map landscapes without harming the ecosystem.”
